As some of you may know, I’ve really been enjoying using up my products. I love how there’s always so many panning projects going on on Youtube. A couple of really great women on YT have inspired me to do another project and this time it’s the Crossing 6 off our Christmas List!
This project is about using up some of your high end products. So I’ve been going through my massive collection to see what items I wanted to use up by Christmas…. or maybe at least make a good dent in them!
The Items I Chose:
Laura Mercier oil free foundation primer:
I made a mark on the tube where I am today. I’ve had this product in my collection for quite a while and I don’t think it has expired yet, but if it has or will cause any problems with my skin I will stop using it and add in another item.
MAC Syrup Lipstick (Lustre):
I absolutely love this lipstick. It’s a great fall and winter shade that looks good with everything. On top of that it’s nice and moisturizing. I haven’t used it too much, so I’m not sure if I will be able to use the lipstick up by Christmas, but we’ll see. It’s the effort that counts right?! At least I will be showing some love to these items that otherwise wouldn’t have been used!
Lorac Behind the scenes eye shadow primer:
I’m not really sure if this is a full-size product or not. I got it with my Lorac Pro palette. It’s not bad, but I’m not the biggest fan of it so far. We’ll see how I feel after some more use!
MAC Trax eyeshadow:
This is also one of those items that has been in my collection for too long. I just need to use it more and preferably use it up, because I think it’s close to it’s expiration date. I love the shade, it’s a pretty purple with golden glitters that don’t fall down on your face. Usually I don’t like glitter eyeshadow, but this one is different. It feels a bit dry, but I apply it with my fingers. It’s great to combine with gold, lighter purples/ lilacs or bronze shades!
Makeup Forever Aqua Lip 3C:
This is a sample size that I once got in a Sephora kit. I absolutely love it. There’s not much left so this one should be easy to use up. It’s a gorgeous brown nude that can be worn alone or in conjunction with a lip balm, lipgloss or lipstick. Very smooth, opaque and comfortable.
Too Faced Naked Dolly lipstick:
This is another sample size product that I got from a Sephora kit. I have just a little bit left, so I just want to use it up. It works great in combination with the lipliner above. I never expected to love a lipstick this nude, but I do. I do have to pair it with a lipliner, otherwise it is way too light for me. I don’t like the texture however. It’s a bit thick and gloopy.
Where I am for this introduction:
I marked where I am in this notebook, so I will be able to show you some progress in the future!
Feel free to join in on this and let me know if you also want to use up 6 items by Christmas.
Thank you so much for spending some time on my blog and lots of love!
