Makeup Basket of the week/ shop my stash

Yes I realize this is a big pile of products for just one week! I just can’t choose very well, so I usually pick way too much. Also there are some items in here that are in current projects pan that I’m doing. So if you’re interested in what I will be using this week, then please click on the link below!

I also included my perfumes that I will be using this week.

For my base I’m currently using the Laura Mercier foundation primer oil free. This is close to it’s expiration date, so I need to use it up now. I think my skin can handle it, but I’m still not sure if I see or feel a difference compared to when I’m not wearing it. Actually : most days I just forget to use it!

For my Foundation I’m currently using the Rimmel BB cream in light mixed with the Catrice Even skin tone in 005 even vanilla. The Rimmel BB cream is too dark for me right now and the Catrice foundation too light, so together they make the perfect combination.

The E.l.f eye brightener doesn’t work underneath my eyes. It makes my under eye area look like a desert. So I’ve been trying to use it as a setting powder for my entire face.

The concealer I’ve been trying to use up is the Max & More concealer in light beige. I like it, but there are other ones I like better. It’s rather thick and emollient.

The Max & More foundation powder in the shade Tan is too dark and cool toned for me, but that is why I bought it. It’s the perfect contour shade for fair and light skin!

I completely forgot to include my L’oréal Mineral Foundation in the shade W4 in this photo. It’s too dark and warm toned for me, so I use it as a bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks and around the hairline.

For Blush I will be using my Maybelline Master Glaze cream blush in the shade 50 Make a Mauve. It is quite dark and intens, but when I dab it on my cheeks very carefully and then blend it out with my E.l.f. small stipple brush it works just fine. I haven’t used it a lot yet, but so far so good!

I’ve also been using the Revlon Lipbutter in 90 Sweet Tart as a cream blush and this works remarkably well! If you have a lipstick or balm that you don’t like on the lips, try it on the cheeks it may surprise you! I sometimes set it with a powder blush. I’m almost out of this one.

For my Powder Blushes I’m using Essence Satin Touch blush in 20 Babydoll. It’s a really pretty dusty rose/mauve color. I’m also using the Max & more mineral blush in 862 Rose. It’s a really pretty but very pigmented blush. I have to be careful with that one!  For highlighters or actually more like blush toppers I’ve been using my Essence limited edition highlighter from the Fantasia collection. It’s slightly too pink for me to wear as a straight up highlighter, so I use it to top off my blush. Works really well. The E.l.f. blush in Coy is too light for me as a blush, but slightly too dark as a highlighter so I use it on top of a pink/mauve blush.

The eyeshadow palette you see on the top is the new Essence get picture ready! palette. I got it as a gift last week and I’ve been using it almost every day. I love it. Review will be coming soon!

On the left you see the Essence single eyeshadow in 14 chill vanilli. This one I use as a brow bone highlight. It isn’t my favorite, but it is okay for the brown bone. Wouldn’t recommend it though. On the right you see one of my all time favorite eyeshadow duo’s, the Maybelline Eyestudio duo in 10 Pink Passion. Both colors are absolutely stunning. Every year around the fall this in ends up in my weekly makeup baskets! Gorgeous! In the middle below you see the KIKO Color fever eyeshadow palette in 101 Coral Burgundy.  I really love this palette. It’s sturdy, sleek, classy and pigmented. The lightest shades you have to build up though.

I forgot to mention my MAC single eyeshadow in Trax, which I’ve been trying to use up. For my eyebrows I’m using Hema eyebrow pencil in 09.  Slightly too cool toned for me, but a great pencil. The Essence Make me brow in 02 Browny Browns. I don’t like it, it’s way too cool toned, too dark, wet and clumpy. Not my favorite, but I’m just trying to use it up. For eyeliner I’m using my P2 Perfect Look Kajal in 010 Black. This retractable liner is perfect: creamy, stays put a long time, has a sharpener and is affordable. It doesn’t always stay in my waterline unfortunately. I’m almost done with my little Essence white eye pencil. I don’t like it. It’s too hard and not very pigmented. My E.l.f eyelash curler. Love it. For eyeshadow primer I’ve been using the Lorac Behind the scenes eyeshadow primer. I got this for free with my Lorac Pro palette, but I don’t like it. It always creases. For Mascaras I’m using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash multiplying mascara in black. I don’t like it. It doesn’t do a whole lot for my lashes, it flakes, is expensive and not very easy to remove at night. My entire face is covered in black flakes that are really difficult to remove, every night after removing my makeup. I’m also just using up the Essence Forbidden Volume Top Coat. This is okay. I use it as a regular mascara, because I don’t see much of a difference with a regular mascara. It separates well, but doesn’t give a massive amount of volume.

I always choose way too many!

On the top: Max & More lipgloss in Grape (a beautiful very pigmented gloss).

Just below that: E.l.f Luscious Liquid lipstick in Ruby Slipper. This is more of a gloss, but a pretty one, with some shimmers.

Next to those: Too Faced Naked Dolly mini. I’m trying to use it up.

Below that: Essence Velvet Stick in 02 Peony Star. A matte dusty rose: review will be coming soon!

The row of lipsticks from left to right:

Maybelline Passion Plum:  a creamy really unique purple shade.

2 Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry me. Just trying to use it up, not a big fan.

3 Essence Sheer Lipstick in 09 I feel pretty.

P2 Sheer Glam lipstick in 090 Sex and the City

Mac Syrup (lustre). Love it, trying to use it up!

L’oréal Color Riche matte in Erotique, a warm brick nude.

Catrice Ultimate Shine lipstick in The world’s grapest.

My E.l.f. Lip Exfoliator.

The Essence Stay with me gloss in Deep Rose.

The little baby lip pencil is Makeup Forever Aqua lip in 3C. I’m trying to use it up.

Left: Gwen Stefani L.A.M.B. and right: my all time favorite perfume, especially for the Holiday season: Cacharel Eden.  Love both of these so much!!

What are you using this week? Let me know! Thank you so much for visiting and lots of love!
