A couple of weeks ago I went to the discounter store Action. They always sell really nice makeup, both homebrand (Max & More) and drugstore brands like Rimmel or Olaz (=Olay) for reduced prices. So I bought a couple of things, that I would like to show you and also review for you today!
Max & More single eyeshadows:
Throughout the years I bought quite a few of these single eyeshadows by Max & More. Overall they are pretty good. They feel creamy and are nicely pigmented. I bought three colors this time:
This one I bought as a blush. I often do that, use products in a different way. I compared the ingredients of these eyeshadows with the Max & More blushes and they’re very similar, so I thought I could use these as blushes as well. This is a very creamy orange/coral color with a golden sheen. Very beautiful on the cheeks! This one is a bit crumbly I have to admit and that is the first time that has happened to me with a Max & More eyeshadow. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful product!
I think this is my favorite one out of the three. it’s a very creamy aubergine color with a shimmer. Simply beautiful! It works good int he crease as well.
This very shimmery white color is also quite crumbly, but very creamy at the same time. I love this one as a cheekbone highlighter as well as an eyeshadow. It’s beautiful all over the lid, or as an inner corner highlight.
These Max & More single eyeshadows are now €0,69. They used to be €0,49
Rimmel eyeliners are among my favorites. I love the Scandaleyes in Nude for the waterline. I bought two two-packs.
The first two pack: Silver and Purple
This beautiful eyeliner is a true silver. Just like the name says!
This is a beautiful aubergine-purple shade, that is a bit less pigmented than I expected.
The other two-pack I bought: Rimmel Scandaleyes in Bright Blue and Rimmel exaggerate waterproof eye definer in Perfect Plum:
This blue shade is as the name suggests a very bright blue color. Perfect for the lower lash line as a pop of color. It looks a slight bit less bright on the eyes than you would expect.
Waterproof Eyedefiner in Perfect Plum:
This beautiful eggplant shade has some shimmer to it. This is the only twist up pencil. It also has a sharpener and a smudger at the end. Love these ones. Pigmented and last a long time!
All of these shades are waterproof and budge proof!
At Action they are sold for a reduced price : €2,99 for a two-pack.
Max & More Lipstick set in Matte Cherry Me and Warm Wine:
Both of these I had once before, but they expired. I had the Cherry me (one of my all-time favorite lipsticks )in the creamy finish, this is the matte version.
Max & More Cherry Me Matte
Cherry Me Matte is an absolutely stunning warm red shade. I used to have the creamy finish, and I never tried one of their mattes. This one is slightly warmer in tone I think and is less shiny, but doesn’t dry completely matte. I think I prefer the creamier version. This is however a very pigmented, smooth lipstick.
Max & More Warm Wine:
Warm wine is more of a raspberry red. Very beautiful, creamy and pigmented. The Max & More lipsticks smell like vanilla and are cruelty free!
Top: Cherry me matte, bottom: Warm Wine.
I would recommend the Max & More lipsticks in general. They are €0,99 for a two-pack.
Max & MORE HIGHLIGHTING CONCEALER Light Beige:
I heard so many great stories about this concealer that I wanted to try it out for myself. Finding a concealer that brightens and hides my super dark circles at the same time is very difficult, but this one does a very good job! This is the best concealer I think I’ve tried so far! Very pigmented, thin in consistency, doesn’t move, doesn’t settle in fine lines and does a really great job at both highlighting and concealing. Now, are my dark circles completely gone? No, but they are concealed fairly well. This used over a corrector is absolutely fantastic. You can use this all over the face as a highlighter (cheekbones, bridge of the nose, forehead and chin).
The pen is a brush tip, click up pen, which I really like. It doesn’t come with a lot of product though.
It’s sold at Action for €1,49
The pigmentation is beautiful, and so is the color!
Olaz BB Cream Light:
This BB cream I was interested in for quite a while, since Olaz (Olay) products are usually very good quality. This also has SPF 15 and niacinamide in it, which is very healthy for the skin. So I decided to give it a go.
I like the tube, but this product is dark for a shade called light and it is very heavily scented!
I’m am used to getting more coverage out of BB creams. This one is the least pigmented I have ever tried. Also because it is quite dark and orange and sheer, it doesn’t look good on me. It accentuates my redness and turns my face orange and darker than my neck.
This is not a recommendation for me! At Action you pay €3,99 for 50 ml.
MAX FACTOR WEIGHTLESS FOUNDATION 30 PORCELAIN:
I had seen this foundation at Action many times before, but for some reason I didn’t think it was good, until one day I decided to just try it. It was difficult to guess my shade, but I went with Porcelain, even though my skin isn’t super light. It was the perfect match. I never thought a foundation would be so comfortable on the skin, so thin in texture, but almost full coverage, the perfect shade, and nicely looking on the skin. I’ve already bought a backup.
As you can see in this photo, the consistency is very runny, but it still gives great natural coverage and doesn’t accentuate pores or dry skin.
This foundation has an SPF of 10 and has a scent to it. This color is slightly rosy and even though I am more on the warm side of the spectrum I can get away with it.
You can find this at Action for € 2,99
I would recommend all of these items, with exception of the Olaz/Olay BB Cream.
Thank you so much for visiting and lots of love!
